UCNS Simplifies Accreditation Fee Structure

10-3-2018 Beginning September 2018, UCNS is implementing a simplified accreditation fee structure. The Board of Directors voted to revise the annual accreditation fee to absorb the costs associated with reaccreditation.

All programs undergo a reaccreditation review every one to five years. Previously, programs were required to submit a $1,000 reaccreditation application fee with each reaccreditation application. This fee was due in addition to an annual fee, which resulted in confusion among many programs during years when both fees were required. In addition, due to the varying duration of accreditation periods awarded, budgeting for reaccreditation fees caused difficulty to some programs.

An annual administrative fee must be submitted by all programs to maintain accreditation. Fees had not been reviewed or updated since 2013. The revised annual fee of $2,000 will be invoiced each May with a July 1 due date.
