Transition to Continuous Certification

In 2019, UCNS begins the transition to Continuous Certification (C-cert). Diplomates' certification status will be contingent upon meeting the C-cert requirements annually. Certification does not expire when annual C-cert requirements are met.

Attest to Meeting Previous CME Requirements

Diplomates must attest to meeting the subspecialty-specific continuing medical education (CME) requirements for lifelong learning activities during the time-limited period of their certificate as outlined in the CME Transition Requirements Table. Diplomates must attest that all subspecialty-specific CME requirements have been met by December 20, 2019, at which time they will be transitioned to C-cert and their certification status will be listed as Certified – Meeting Requirements.
