Attest to Meeting Previous CME Requirements
Diplomates must attest to meeting the subspecialty-specific
continuing medical education (CME) requirements for lifelong learning
activities during the time-limited period of their certificate as
outlined in the CME Transition Requirements Table. Diplomates must attest that all
subspecialty-specific CME requirements have been met by December 31,
2019, at which time they will be transitioned to C-cert and their
certification status will be listed as Certified – Meeting Requirements.

UCNS diplomates with time-limited certificates:
- 2019: One-time attestation of meeting prorated subspecialty AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM to verify continuous learning during time-limited certificate period
- 2020: Begin participating in C-cert and continue meeting general C-cert eligibility requirements
UCNS diplomates initially certified in 2019 and beyond:
- Begin participating in C-cert and continue meeting general C-cert eligibility requirements in the year immediately following year of initial certification
Annual C-cert Fee
Beginning in 2020, an annual C-cert administrative fee is required and payment can be made online with a credit card.
