Neurocritical Care Certification

Application

The application cycle for the Neurocritical Care examination opens on March 1, 2013. The Neurocritical Care certification examination will be offered the week of December 9–13, 2013. The exam is scheduled for five hours and will have 200 multiple–choice questions that are computer–based. Applications, supporting documents, and payment must be submitted by the application deadline of July 15, 2013.

The practice track pathway of application will close on the last day of the application cycle conducted for the 2013 Neurocritical Care examination. After the 2013 application cycle only those physicians who have completed a UCNS accredited fellowship program will be able to apply.

PLEASE NOTE: UCNS utilizes an online application system. All applications must be completed online, and all supporting documentation must be uploaded through the online application system at the time of application. Some application sections require you to upload documents before you will be allowed to proceed to the next section.

A personal logon is required to access the application. You must request your personal logon information no later than 4:00 p.m. CDT on July 15, 2013 in order to apply for this examination. You are encouraged to work on your application prior to 4:00 p.m. CDT on July 15, 2013 as application support will not be available and logon requests will not be granted after 4:00 p.m.

In order to have your application processed you must finalize your completed application by 11:59 p.m. CDT on Monday, July 15, 2013. Any application not finalized by this time will not be accepted. In addition to a finalized application, UCNS must receive the $1,600 examination fee postmarked on or before July 15, 2013. UCNS only accepts checks and money orders for payment. Payment is the only application item that may be mailed to the UCNS office.

Letters that are confusing or do not provide the necessary information will not be accepted.
